The Royal Wedding – William & Kate

I have been in hibernation..how could I ever miss updating the news about Prince William!! Noooo.. so, gonna be super energetic now and post an update on the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, or famously known as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge now. Apparently Queen Elizabeth II bestowed the title to her grandson to mark his special day. He was given 2 other titles as well – namely – Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus. The wedding itself was broadcast live over the tv stations and Internet and watched by 2 billion viewers. So, just in case you had missed the live broadcast, you can re-watch the video coverage at The Royal Channel (which is the official channel of the British monarchy).

It was indeed the wedding of the century, the ceremony was so grand and the couple looked so comfortable with each other. Just look at this official wedding photo. They looked so relaxed and full of fun.

Prince William Wedding

Ahhhh.. with all the fuss.. and finally it’s confirmed. Prince William and Kate’s Engagement was announced on 16 Nov 2010 and the wedding date was confirmed last week. It will be on 29 Apr 2011!! The couple, both 28, became engaged in October 2010 while holidaying in Kenya, after William presented Kate with Prince Diana’s engagement ring. Awww.. that’s very thoughtful of him. His reasons being this “It’s very special to me, as Kate is very special to me now as well. It was only right the two were put together,” William said. “It was my way of making sure mother didn’t miss out on today and the excitement and the fact that we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together.”

Ahh..speculation about Prince William’s wedding is neverending. Gets more heated now as everyone predicts it would be next year. Whether it’s this year or next year, or 2012, we shall wait and see. The prince himself is still coy about the rumours. hmm.. why is it that I still couldn’t quite accept Kate Middleton as the next Queen??

Princess Eugenie robbed in Cambodia

Princess Eugenie of York is the younger daughter of Prince Andrew of England. In other words, she is the cousin of Prince William. While holidaying in Cambodia as part of her gap year, she got mugged when they were walking at night in Phnom Penh. Luckily they were rescued by two royal protection officers who were feet away. I guess it’s time for the princess to end her gap year soon? Haha. It’s pretty risky for a princess to travel around the globe just like that. It was reported that since finishing her A-levels last year, Eugenie has been enjoying a gap-year trip that has included visits to Thailand, South Africa and India. Have you seen her photo before? If not, then here I present you her photo.. (I don’t think she looks like Prince William)
